Shipping, Returns & Refund Policy

At JB Gems & Minerals, we take pride in carefully selecting, photographing, and describing every specimen. Because minerals are natural and often delicate, please review the policies below before placing an order.

Shipping

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination, weight, and order value. All shipments include insurance coverage for the purchase price of the item. Most orders ship via USPS, though UPS or FedEx may be used when safer or more reliable. If your address cannot receive deliveries from a particular carrier, please contact us before placing your order.

International Shipping

International orders are handled on a case by case basis. Please contact us with the item(s) you are interested in, your full name, shipping address, and email address. Customs duties, import taxes, VAT, and brokerage fees are the buyer’s responsibility. We cannot alter customs documentation or declare lower values.

Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Packages

If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 24 hours with photos of the outer box, inner packaging, and damaged item. Keep all packaging until the claim is resolved. If you believe your package is lost or stolen, notify us promptly so we can begin a carrier investigation; final outcomes are determined by the carrier and insurer.

Returns & Refunds

Returns are accepted within 48 hours of delivery. Contact us within 48 hours, include clear photos and a brief explanation, and wait for written approval before returning the item. Items must be returned in original condition with all packaging and must show no damage or alteration. Buyer is responsible for return shipping with tracking and insurance. Refunds cover item price only; original shipping and processing fees are non refundable. Please allow 3–7 business days for processing.

Non Returnable Items

Clearance or discounted, final sale, custom or special order items, and those marked non returnable are not eligible for return.

Accuracy & Authenticity

Minerals are natural materials. Variations such as internal fractures, inclusions, color differences, or matrix are normal and not considered defects. We describe items as accurately as possible.
